Dear Community Members,
We are honored to be your 2024-2025 Marshalltown Area United Way Campaign Co-chairs! We’ve been friends for years and often connect on the chaos of motherhood, the love of our hometown, and our mutual love and heartache of the Iowa State Cyclones. As natives, we’ve both seen life outside of Marshalltown and choose to live, learn, work, and play in Marshall County! We’re excited to put our minds together for Marshalltown Area United Way and can’t wait to have an awesome campaign year.
Kate: I grew up in Marshalltown and graduated from MHS in 2006. After college (go State!) and a short time in Des Moines, my husband, Dane, and I moved back to Marshalltown. Our girls are 10 and 8 and attend St. Francis Catholic School. I’m the Workforce Development Director for the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce. I help serve on the Marshalltown Education Partnership Board. I also help coach CrossFit and am a Personal Trainer at the YMCA.
Kyley: My husband, Bryan, and I live in Marshalltown with our three boys ages 13, 11, and 5. We are proud graduates of MCSD and are raising the next generation. #BobcatPride Currently, I run my own marketing company, Kyley Leger Marketing. In my spare time, I serve on the Assistance League of Marshalltown Board, lead the Organization Committee on the Marshalltown Central Business District Board, and co-chaired the Night of Stars fundraiser for the past 10 years.
We both have a passion for making our community better and know that the work Marshalltown Area United Way is doing will keep our community as healthy and successful as possible. By giving to United Way, you make our community a better place to live for all. You can touch the lives of 12,000 residents each year for only $1 per week.
United Way brings people together to build strong, equitable communities where everyone can thrive through work with private, public, and non-profit partners to boost education, economic mobility, and health resources. Our fundraising goal for 2024 is $900,000. We hope you’ll join us in the Marshalltown Area United Way missions with education, health, and financial stability.
United We Are Stronger!
