Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa serves over 9,000 girls and 4,000 adults in 67 counties in Iowa, two counties in South Dakota and one county in Nebraska.
It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we are proud to be part of a national Girl Scout movement, dedicated to continuing her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passion, and talents.
Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls-all girls- grades K-12. In partnership with committed and trained adults (18 years of age or older), girls develop qualities that will serve them all of their lives - strong sense of self, positive values, healthy relationships, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Girls are served through troops, Mission Outreach programs, and as individuals. Marshall County girls discover fun, friendship, and mentoring while building their leadership skills.
